Project Description:
The Roseburg Public Safety Center project brought new collaboration between PIVOT Architecture, a local Eugene, Oregon firm, and Candice Wong. Having met at the annual Station Design Conference while she was at RRM Design Group, Candice Wong worked with PIVOT Architecture throughout the programming and design phases of the Roseburg Public Safety Center.
Candice worked with the police department to help the PIVOT team design the law enforcement offices. She also secured spaces for evidence processing as well as warehouse, sallyport, and interview rooms, and specialized spaces for the forensic lab.
The resulting iconic civic building co-locates the Fire and Police Departments into a singular civic campus that anchors the edge of downtown. The project includes a combined headquarters fire station, headquarters police station, emergency operations center, and a forensic lab. This responsive and dynamic facility serves both the public safety personnel and the citizens of Roseburg.
